Recovery

This has been a defining year for me. Right away in January I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis. Basically my Colon was NOT happy. Unfortunately, everything the doctors tried in the next couple months couldn’t make it happy. I lost about 55 pounds, and eventually had to have my colon removed. I had to leave school for a semester. The recovery has been long, and, I’m not gonna lie, incredibly hard. I’m so grateful for the support I received from all my family, friends, teachers, and medical team. Being back at school has been a blessing. It’s been difficult to adjust, but I’m glad to be back to living a semi normal life. Doing theater again has been just as joyful as I remember, only now I appreciate it in a whole different way.
